Didn’t mention it in the first place, but I was having pain in the area where the malignant tumour had been located. I didn’t want to worry my family and friends, but, ooooo, I was genuinely worried for the first time since 2021.
So, I had my scan, waited, and got the feedback. It turned out everything was (basically) fine.
I was relieved there was a concrete, physical reason for the pain. (It wasn’t “in my head.” The worst thing is mystery pain!)
The area had become inflamed, for reasons unknown.
I had enjoyed a lot of walking and bike riding over my summer holiday, so that may have contributed.
Due to traveling, I was also having trouble following the ketogenic diet as strictly as I have been since 2021. Didn’t realize it, but I had actually dropped out of it completely and gained about 3 kg of inflammation in a few weeks. I know it was fluid, because I lost it all — and the pain — within a few days of getting back into it.
Man. I have to watch what I eat. It is a bit of a pain, but worth it!
Now I’ll patiently wait for my next scan in March.
